Ann Coakley, an outstanding lacrosse player and coach, paved many uncharted pathways for female athletes in the 1940s and, 50s.
Coakley, who has been honored in both local and national lacrosse hall of fames, is featured in the 2015 edition of Life Care LEADER magazine, a publication of Life Care Centers of America. She is a resident at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
After being introduced to lacrosse during her college years, Coakley quickly became one of the most skilled players in the game. Her innate talent and incredible work ethic earned her the opportunity to tour with the United States Women’s Lacrosse team, both stateside and overseas.
